The First Hormonal Meltdown

So, today (Friday- finally posted on Saturday) was a little bit draining. I have 3 1/2 days of school left (hooray) which means I am full of joy, but totally stressed out about moving out of my classroom and getting all the student paperwork done and in the right place. I am also getting that 'I'm so sad to see my babies leave' thing. This is slightly confusing considering the year I have had.
So, after work today, I sat down and worked on some more Girl's Camp stuff. I continue to feel overwhelmed about the amount the we are planning. It is more than a headache to make sure everyone is doing their part and trying to do my stuff. One of the areas of confusion has been the camp T-shirts. The Stake isn't doing them this year and we wanted to have them for our girls. Due to some stuff, we still don't have the t-shirts.
So I decided to skip out on date night and go try to find cheap t-shirts. I went to Steve & Barry's at the mall. No luck. I kept looking. In the process, I tried on a couple things for myself. THAT my friends was a mistake! I felt like a stuffed sausage. I immediately started to tear up.
The frustration of not finding the t-shirts was getting to be more than I could handle.
Then I tried to buy a birthday present for a party I have tomorrow night. I found something, but could only find one person at a register and she was talking to a lady for 8 hrs about watch repair. Then another lady was helping someone by answering a question and after she answered the question, she just walked away with me standing there, even though she had seen me circling the area for about 10 minutes.
This all apparently was too much for me. I got home and went upstairs and started sobbing. John came in to talk to me.
It went something like this:
Me: sob, sob, sob
John: What's wrong?
Me: sob, sob, why am I so chubby? sob sob
John: Um, you are pregnant (If anyone reading this doesn't already know, here's the announcement)
Me:sob, sob, and I couldn't find the t-shirts
And today when I went to get Rocky Road they were all out...sob, sob, sob, for the second time in a row
And I don't want to do camp stuff anymore, sob, sob,
And my clothes don't fit me anymore.
John: Don't you have a couple pair of pants you can wear?
Me: sob, They're dirty, sob, sob, sob, sob, sob

This went on for about 15 minutes. I knew I was being absolutely ridiculous, but I could help it. Finally, I just started laughing so hard because it was all a little dramatic.
I do have to say, John gets 5 gold stars for not laughing until I did.
Well, that was my eventful day. Hoping those don't come around too often. The headache was killer.

Thanks! We are 10 weeks. Still technically a little early for sharing with everyone, but we've had an ultrasound and things look fantastic and we have another appt this Tuesday.
We are due beginning of January. John is sure we are having a little girl, though he wants a boy. I'd be happy with either.

Congratulations!! Why is it that we are always the last to know. I almost didn't read the entire entry but I am glad that I did. I hope that you are feeling well. There are TONS of cute pregnancy clothes out there so have fun shopping for those!

Taryn, if it makes you feel any better, John wanted to call Kyle about 5 minutes after he found out. We've just started sharing outside of family.
I am feeling really good and looking forward to the shopping.

I guess I don't feel bad about not knowing since Laura didn't know either. What happened to RR e-mails to announce extra-special news? This obviously qualifies!!!

Congratulations! Very excited. Just for the record, you are entitled to sob, sob, sob whenever you feel the need. I can laugh myself silly now when I read about all the things I cried over. There's just NO CONTROLLING IT!!!
